The Hansen’s disease, so-called “leprosy” in the past, is one of ancient infectious disease. The patients suffer unproper segregation and social discrimination for the reason of the eugenics. Act of Human Rights Protection and Compensation for Hansen’s Disease Patients has been legislated in 2008 in Taiwan. Even though there have had consolation and compensation, there are still no propagation of the knowledge for the Hansen’s disease and social educational policies of rehabilitation of the reputation for the Hansen’s disease patients.
