China’s approach to infectious disease prevention has always been controversial. These controversies are not only seen in the news, but are actually discussed in China. China is not a democracy, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a legal system to deal with infectious diseases. But it should be noted that China’s rule of law is different from Taiwan’s rule of law.
China’s infectious disease prevention and control system is very stable. In addition to Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, there are Emergency Response Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law, and there are also regulations on public health emergencies in administrative orders. These normative systems were revised after SARS. However, these normative systems were revised after SARS. Will it be able to cope with this epidemic or cause more controversy? This article discusses the general regulations on epidemic prevention and control in China, and discusses the most important issues of isolation and quarantine in depth.
